A collection of works by Nam June Paik, a Korean-born American artist known as a pioneer in video art. It was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Museum Ostwall im Dortmunder U in Dortmund, Germany from March to August 2023. This book focuses on "the moment of life," a feature that has been largely overlooked in the author's work, and is a consistent element throughout the author's creative activities. Direct experiences and active participation by the audience are crucial components of the author's work. The book begins with his early creative work as a composer, and focuses on the author's approach to music as a "score", "concept", and "events." The author introduces the author's creative thinking and techniques, referring to major series of works, including performances, participatory works, interest in live broadcasts, and multimedia works. Photos that record the performance give a lively impression of those lively moments. The pages designed specifically for this book by German artist Anicka Kahrs, American artist Autumn Knight, Japanese artist Aki Onda and Hong Kong-born artist Samson Young highlight the importance of the author's work in modern times.
