A collection of works by Spanish artist Juan Usle. One of the pioneers of modern abstract artists, Usule combines various elements that create rich and complex variations with his own unique sensibility, and develops his work from there. The work can be divided into two groups: the dark-colored large-format painting series "Sońé que revelabas" and small pieces. The latter features elements that Usule always uses, such as straight lines, waves, patterns reminiscent of checks and roots. The 75 works exhibited at the exhibition are printed one sheet per page on thick paper in full color. It also contains a wealth of essays, biography, and reference books.
Sited among the vanguard of contemporary abstract painters, Juan Uslé's oeuvre is built up around a unique combination of various elements that allow for rich and complex variations. This collection of recent works exhibited at the CAC Málaga features two groups, the first, 'Sońé que revealabas' – comprises a series of large format dark coloured paintings. The second – small format works in which Uslé uses lines, waves, chequered and rhizome patterns – elements consistently present in the artist's work. The 75 works featured in this edition are reproduced on thick paper, one to a page, in full colour, and accompanied by essays, biographic and bibliographic notes.
