The design is based on T.T's classic American-made cardigan from the 1910s.
A photograph, believed to have been taken in America in the 1910s, shows two men wearing newsboy caps and double-breasted, collarless cardigans with two rows of buttons. The details on this cardigan are common elements of French workwear, but the photo itself was apparently taken in America. We extracted as much of the parts that could be visually confirmed as possible, and redesigned detailed specifications and silhouettes based on the brand's interpretation.
In addition to the regular design, we have created a new knitted pattern, and this one is based on a cardigan worn by German farmers around 1940. Since the horizontal fabric is used vertically, the end of the knitting becomes the hem. Made from a mix of silk noil and British wool, it has a dry touch.
