1920's jeans are T.T's iconic item.
Taiga Takahashi liked store brand denim more than Levi's. In particular, J.C.Penny, which had a brand called Foremost. In the 1920s, they began making denim that imitated Levi's, and gradually developed more original designs. TaigaTakahashi's original denim was born by collecting these denims and through trial and error, and the desire to differentiate them from Levi's was felt in every detail.
3/1 left twill, light ounce denim made from American organic cotton and woven on an old power loom in Okayama. The denim fabric is woven slowly using an old-fashioned power loom, also known as a shuttle loom, which can weave at speeds that are only 10 to 20 times slower than modern looms. The denim fabric retains the unevenness of the cotton yarn, making it uneven in a good way.
The warp threads are indigo mixed with sulfur dye, giving it a weathered green cast color. The core is dyed white using rope dyeing. The weft is a custom-made NEP yarn dyed in a yellowed unbleached color that gives the impression of the passage of time. By using these two types of thread, Taiga Takahashi was able to achieve a deep, deep indigo blue that is unique to Taiga Takahashi.
The finish is treated with a shrink-proofing process called sanforized.
It is made of selvedge denim fabric with "white ears", and white ears are used in various places such as the back of the belt. These jeans have a fairly deep rise and feature a thick silhouette that falls straight from the waist to the hem. The design leaves everything that should be left in place, such as the rounded curved front pocket, the rivets on the open part, and the buckle back on the back. The custom-made engraved buttons and back are all made of iron and are not plated on the surface, so they will rust over time, so you can enjoy the changes over time. All details have been recreated using the same method used in the 1920s. The signature leather patch is mud-dyed in Amami Oshima.
