Italian collared shirts were popular as casual shirts to wear at resorts due to the booming economy after World War II.
It features more curved openness than open collars, and was perfect for a relaxed look in a time when there was no culture of t-shirts at resorts.
To make use of the bold all-over print using Kyoto's Yuzen dyeing techniques, we use an Italian color that does not have a switchable size and a single-wing pocket with minimal details. To match the texture of the material, it is made with a bag-stitched design that is used in high-quality shirts, rather than the two-needle rounded circular stitching that is normally used.
This season's prints are faithfully reproduced the pattern of washi wallpaper from the Tatsurei tea room "Zenmi" in the comprehensive art space "T.T" created by Takahashi Taiga. This wallpaper is made by combining hand-made washi paper with ink and hand-painted one by one. This is a special piece created by Takahashi with Kamizoe, a kalada workshop located in Nishijin, Kyoto.
