A collection of works by French artist Stéphan Crasneanski. This book is a reexamining of the important work "What We Leave Behind," which was created based on the archives of Jean-Luc Godard, also a French film director, at the request of German Radio Culture Broadcasting, and compiled into one book. It consists of four parts: boxes, collages, still lifes, and notes. In exploring the archives of Godard, the film master, the author filmed the short films, open reels and historic ephemera that Godard had personally collected. It combines notes and references that give the impression of the times to prevent dissipation and creates a fragmented "creative map" that gives a glimpse into Godard's artistic thought process. In confronting both the property and cultural heritage of one person, the author expresses praise and adds his interpretation of the self, expressing his admiration for various concepts of identity, traceability, the spread of time and space, memory, existence, materiality, and historical nature scattered throughout these things. It includes a preface by musician, writer and poet Patti Smith, a conversation with film director Abel Ferrara, and an essay by film critic, historian and editor Antoine de Baecque.
