This is a collection of works by Olafur Eliasson, a Danish artist from Iceland, and Günther Vogt, a landscape architect from Liechtenstein. This site-specific work was created through a unique collaboration between the two, and was created for Kvadrat, a leading Danish textile manufacturer. It is said that many of the Ebertoft, located in the Jutland Peninsula in Denmark, where the company's headquarters are located, will retain the terrain formed during the Ice Age, and the landscape there is seamlessly incorporated into the landscape with Ebertson installations and a landscape designed by Vocht, and the scenery is recorded throughout the four seasons along with the Kvadra headquarters.
This outdoor installation unfolds with five large mirrors horizontally surrounded by gentle meadows, which mimic the glacial basin. It is set among trees, shrubs and wild creatures, creating a response between this unexplored wilderness and the calm natural landscape. We explore conceptualizing the surrounding landscape, and while the circular mirrors clearly outline the surrounding grasslands, like the surface of a glacier pool, mirrors reflect the changing sky, blurring the boundaries between the top and bottom, inside and outside.
